Today was my fortieth consecutive day on the mountain (I feel like I ought to insert some sort of biblical reference, but somehow I don't think skiing is mentioned in the bible).
It was a truly beautiful day. The sun came out and nobody was around; ideal conditions for ripping up perfectly groomed packed powder. A freshly groomed Tornado was excellent, as was Buddy's and upper Rainbow. Away from the groomers, Sundown Liftline still had more than enough soft left to be totally enjoyable.
Here's today's track. 14,832 vertical ft (season total 401,020 ft) in 1:57 or 7,606 vertical ft per hour. Short of skiing every run like an Olympic downhill course, that's about as fast as you can rack up the vertical.
